Norfolk Poles and stories from the
Norfolk Polish Heritage Group
Archive Project

This talk opens with a short unnarrated rolling presentation about immigration to Norfolk over the millennia as a reminder
that non-English-speaking migrants are not a recent or unwelcome feature of this county.

That is followed by a review of the work of the Norfolk Polish Heritage Group before
considering Polish immigration to this county since World War II and the post-war years. The focus will be on the military (Polish Air Force and Polish 2nd Army).

Finally, three fascinating stories from the NPHG Archive Project are investigated, complete with original audio extracts.
