Regional variations in
vernacular buildings
As we move across the country we experience a gradual change in the accents and dialects that relate to the place in which they are spoken and to which they belong. The same principal applies to old buildings, particularly those constructed by the “middling sort”, using local materials and traditions and the variances in style define the ‘personality’ of a region.
